Welcome to Press the Face, a Sunday-morning talk show liveblog where you can respond to the Sunday talks with your opinions, support, refutations, or ravings. The larger goal is to provide meaningful accounts of the the shows for those who are unable to watch them, but it's also an opportunity to share our thoughts in real time as armchair spectators of the sport of political discussion.
This week we gave a standing ovation for Kate Winslet's well-deserved Oscar, President Obama's unofficial first State of the Union address, and Paul Harvey's pioneering influence on talk radio. On the NPR radio show "News and Notes," I heard a delectable phrase: "President and First Lady Obama," which was a burst of applause for dignity and grace in a time of growing hardship.
UPDATE: Rec'd! This is an amazing tribute to all the razor-witted Kossacks who hang together on Sunday mornings and demand excellence from the Sunday talks. Great job, everybody!

To repeat my reminder about posting: Please scroll through the Comments section to the blockquote containing the title of the show you're commenting on and post your comment under that. Especially now that we have additional shows, this helps to keep the comments from bottlenecking at the top of the diary.
Also, don't forget to record your nominee for the Money Quote under the blockquote comment of each show!
Let us go then, you and I. . .
