Rush offers the American public contrast. He is a polarity of the Republican party keeping them trapped into a corner of thinking. He's egocentric and will never take second seat to anyone. Fortunately for us, he has a big enough dumbed down base to silence any dissention within his own party. I equate Rush Limbaugh to Fox News. He has the highest ratings in the radio business which doesn't mean to much. Fox news has the highest ratings in cable television ratings which doesn't mean much. We have the numbers, Here's why:
Let the GOP keep their 30% in congress, they'll never gain seats at this rate!!
When Michael Steel apologized to Rush Limbaugh after Steele was supposed to lead the conservative party, it exposed a huge gap within the party itself. We always have to keep in mind, most of the American voters do not pay as close attention to politics as "we the gatekeepers". While Rush Limbaugh and Fox News continue on the barrage of attacks against Obama and the Democrats (which they have every right to do) we have to keep focused on one simple message:
"The Republicans lead us into the mess we are in today because they took and continue to take advice from a $400,000,000aire who has absolutely no answers but hateful rhetoric and is loathed by %70 of Americans."
We have to make Rush Limbaugh the voice of the GOP and reponsible for our country's state, not Michael Steele!!!
The Republican party will never regain control of congress or the white house if they are painted into a corner allowing every stereotype (which Rush represents) to follow them. Why else would they have an African American leader (Steele) and an Indian American leader (Jindal) come out on behalf the GOP? The anwer is simple. The Republicans know they are toast if they cannot expand their tent to include minorities.
So the Republicans have forced the "black GOP leader" to bow down to their newly crowned king. I'm sure this sits well with African Americans all over the country.
Keep giving the GOP the rope. When you contrast Obama versus Limbaugh we can start chilling the champagne for the 2010 thumping we will give the Republicans once again.
Let Rush speak as much as he would like. Only a marginal handful take him seriously. My conservative father-in-law hates the dude!!!!
Cheers!!
