March 1931 - Washington, DC
Radio personality Rush Limbaugh continued his assault against President Roosevelt's "First 100 Days" today. Mr. Limbaugh spent the day visiting a "Hooverville" and telling the recently unemployed that, "we need FDR's plan to fail." Attending members of the Republican party mostly echoed Limbaugh's charge for failure, while dissenters of Limbaugh's plan were booed out of the tent city. After a minor disturbance where a Hooverville resident succumbed to dehydration Limbaugh reminded the audience, "Our President is proposing to spend more money than seen during our Civil War, it is a theft of our generation." When asked later for his solution to the worsening economy, Rush Limbaugh offered up tax cuts followed by inaction as the only correct course of action. Today's events followed up yet another victory for Rush Limbaugh, as he gladly accepted the recent apology of the Republican Chairman.
