According to the Richmond Times Dispatch, Terry McAuliffe's national fundraising machine is chugging along nicely in his quest to buy the office of Governor in the state of Virginia. Just last week, McAuliffe attended fundraisers on his behalf in Chicago on Monday night, Arizona on Wednesday night and Los Angeles on Thursday night.
Hosts of at least two of McAuliffe's three out-of-state events are wealthy benefactors who previously donated to Hillary Rodham Clinton's unsuccessful presidential campaign. McAuliffe is close to the Clintons.
McAuliffe stopped in Chicago on Monday, Arizona on Wednesday night and California on Thursday night. The host at the California event was Haim Saban, a billionaire media mogul who helped create the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
According to the Center for Responsive Politics, Saban has given more than $13million to Democratic candidates and committees since 1994.

Now, the name of Haim Saban might ring a bell to those Obama supporters out there:
One of Sen. Hillary Clinton's top financial supporters offered $1 million to the Young Democrats of America during a phone conversation in which he also pressed for the organization's two uncommitted superdelegates to endorse the New York Democrat, a high-ranking official with YDA told The Huffington Post.
Haim Saban, the billionaire entertainment magnate and longtime Clinton supporter, denied the allegation. But four independent sources said that just before the North Carolina and Indiana primaries, Saban called YDA President David Hardt and offered what was perceived as a lucrative proposal: $1 million would be made available for the group if Hardt and the organization's other uncommitted superdelegate backed Clinton.

MaCauliffe's theme for his campaign should be "politics as usual" or "more of the same." MaCauliffe is obviously doing everything in his power to buy this election - it will be interesting to see if Democratic primary voters let him get away with it.
