After reading this article posted on Politico, I'm concerned for the safety of our beloved Al Franken.
After Al is quoted as saying there is "light at the end of the tunnel" in his long election struggle with Coleman, Coleman's spokesman is quoted as follows:
Al Franken doesn't know the difference between a light in the tunnel and the freight train that is coming right at him," said Cullen Sheehan, Coleman's campaign manager. "The freight train is coming, and it's Senator Norm Coleman being re-elected to the United States Senate. And, if the contest court results are fair and legal, that freight train is going straight to D.C. with Senator Norm Coleman returning to continue his work for the people of Minnesota to get our economy back on track and creating jobs for the people of our state."
So poor Al, he's sitting there in relief thinking there's light at the end of the tunnel, but in a cruel twist, that light is in fact on a freight train headed right for him! And, in an even crueler twist, Norm Coleman happens to be a passenger on that train! And since apparently nobody on board notices that Al has been run down or stops the train to see if he's ok, it just chugs right on to D.C., delivering COleman to glory.
Please, somebody warn him before it's too late.
