Whose mother just died. My friend may lose the house she grew up in because a scam ass company tricked her mother into a variable mortage.
She's upset about that.
But there is more.
I got a friend whose mother just died and is facing forclosure on her family home. Her son has Mosaic Turner Sydrome. For those of you that know yeah I said SON. Turner Sydrome is only supposed to affect girls. But he has a percentage, 50% Turner 50% Downsyndrome.
Great story so far.
Well my friend's story gets better.
She has a brother, her brother suffers from a vary serious mental ilness. He is Schizophrenic. See the mother was taking care of him in the house that they are about lose. But my friend, my only friend took him into her home--with her husband and kids. Because she is good, and it is the right thing to do.
Did I mention my friend was mourning, worried about the family home, challenged with a special needs child, caring for a mentally ill brother, being a miother to her other children, a wife, and MY friend?
Well if I didn't there is more.
See my friend added her brother to her insuarance. She finally got him a doctor's appointment. He is a handful around the house and she is very frustrated. But she was glad the day came when he finally saw the doctor and was perscribed the medicine he needs.
Well that sounds like a nice story dosen't it? Well its not!
The insuarance company told the pharmacy that they should get his medical records and find out if there is a different medicine they could give him because the one THAT WAS PERSCRIBED BY THE DOCTOR was expensive.
WHAT!?
The insuarance company is dictating what medicine they pay for based on cost and not need. WTF.
Did you forget my friend was mourning, worried about the family home, challenged with a special needs child, caring for a mentally ill brother, being a miother to her other children, a wife, MY friend...
AND now Argueing with the insuarance company over the meds that WAS PERSCRIBED BY HIS DOCTOR?
Why is insuarance companies in charge of our health and well being. If the Dr. perscribed it, it must be needed.
