The desperate are getting even more desperate. This week, in a virtual repeat of the Obama Pledge viral email debacle, a satire piece is burning its way through the conservative world, but of course the satire tag is missing. And in usual email fashion, the lovely person that picked it up and passed it on as reality added their own vitriolic rant against the President.
Here's the email going around:

Subject: OBAMA IS SURPRISED VETS DON’T WANT TO PAY THEIR OWN MEDICAL
This is a very revealing look into the depth of BO’s ignorance. Read his comments below and ponder them with mouths agape, and head shaking side to side while muttering under your breath, "He’s the leader of the free world - and we elected him!!"
Another Par for the Course.
You know, one of these days this man is going to be howling right along side the demons in the deepest holes in Hell!!!
HERE IS HIS RESPONSE WHEN HE BACKED OFF FROM HIS DECISION TO LET THE MILITARY PAY FOR THEIR WAR INJURIES........WHAT A EMPTY HEADED PERSON HE MUST BE....SEND THIS TO EVERYONE TO SHOW JUST WHAT HE THINKS OF OUR MILITARY WHO FIGHT FOR OUR COUNTRY AND GET HURT PROTECTING OUR FREEDOM!!! I HAVE ANOTHER NAME FOR THIS CREATURE BUT AM TRYING TO STOP USING THAT WORD FOR HIM....IT IS NOT NICE......
Bad press, including major mockery of the plan by comedian Jon Stewart, led to President Obama abandoning his proposal to require veterans’ private health insurance to cover the estimated $540 million annual cost to the federal government of treatment for injuries to military personnel received during their tours on active duty.
The President admitted that he was puzzled by the magnitude of the opposition to his proposal. "Look, it’s an all volunteer force," Obama complained. "Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice? It doesn’t compute."
"I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country," Obama continued. "I wasn’t asking for blood—just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I’d have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nation’s deficit. I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans."
The last three paragraphs came from a conservative web site and was clearly in their satire column.
If you compare the language in the Obama Pledge (the commentary mostly) to the language in this recent one, it appears that the conservative movement is getting more bold in their outright hostility. Its a good thing there really aren't that many of them left.
You can get the full story of this new one over at MOAA's Battle of the Bilge.
I have only one thing to add:
Redacted due to sensitivity and me seeing Ben Stiller's portrayal of Simple Jack as a metaphor for the conservative wingnuts. (they go too far, they won't win any awards) Like Obama, I apologize to all those that are disabled or work with the disabled.
