More below the fold
Ms. Al Nabari was a member of a bedouin tribe, in the Negev region of Israel. The family is shocked and disbelieving
She
is involved in a program for exceptional students and active in social
projects. It isn't logical that someone could have influenced her. She is in
school from the morning until the afternoon and she comes straight home from
there. There is no internet, or anything else. Maybe the police made up the
gun."
Other family members also had trouble believing the reports. "This is a
false claim by the police," said a family member who asked to remain
anonymous. "They are looking to cover up their actions. This could not have
been a terror attack."
"This was a special and kind child," added another family member. "Why
didn't they show the gun on television? They only filmed her bag. They
killed her accidentally and we intend to fight this to the end.

Later reports state that the police found Martyrdom literature and letters suggesting her motivation was to avenge the recent operation in Gaza 'Teenage Bedouin gunwoman sought to avenge Gaza op'
The Bedouin had lived a nomadic lifestyle for 4000 years before the establishment of the state of Israel. The Negev was placed under military control in 1948, and 85 percent of the land was reserved for military purposes. Since then the State of Israel has been struggling to assimilate the Arabic bedouin. The Negev is also home to chemical plants, oil refineries, the Dimona nuclear establishment, a toxic waste incinerator, and several large military bases. Including a radar installation manned by US troops.
The Negev is a region expected to grow, as the military relocates even more bases, and there are plans to build towns and housing for as many as 500,000 new Immigrants to Israel, mostly from the United States. This puts extreme pressure on the semi-nomadic Bedouin as land for their semi-pastoral culture becomes inaccessible. The Negev is also the logical place to re-settle any West BAnk settlers who may relocate as a result of peace negotiations.
Many Bedouin are declining to be relocated to purpose built permanent townships, preferring to remain in unrecognized ancestral villages, which have no services or municipal support. Israel is trying to reduce the number of unrecognized villages by demolishing Bedu homes and business.
The Al Nabari family had a business and two homes demolished in the last few years.
Ms Nabari appeared to be a good student, and a nice child. he 14 year old victim of the axe attack was reported to be sweet natured, kind and devout.
Was she a terrorist? Was it suicide? what explanation can there be for the deaths of children?
