Jon Feehery is a republican who is dangerous politically.
I can't say I like the body count that Glenn Beck and company are steadily racking up with their dangerous ideology, but this guy is far more insidious.
If republicans were to listen to him and marginalize their radical polemicists, they would regain credibility for their 'its your money' mantra with startling speed.
What would happen? We democrats would be forced to choose between our policy goals, getting support for some, while not getting support for others.
Our senators and congressmembers would not look nearly as good! I mean, we'd lose such paragons of foolishness like Michelle Bachmann and Mitch McConnel, and that would raise the average IQ of congress at least a full point.
And think about the Newscorp shareholders! Their profits would rise tremendously as out-of-work wingnuts would appear on their shows for next to nothing, lowering their overhead and promoting exactly the wrong kind of delusions even more freely.
And finally, as the republicans shifted towards the center, the progressive movement would seem further to the left by comparison! Rather than the country moving to the left, and more in line with the views of the people, republicans might be able to use their newfound eloquence to claim that the the progressives were getting farther and farther to the left. They might even be able to make use of Sub Level 3 music like 'A Touch of Pink' at campaign rallies!
Horror of Horrors!
