Bobby Jindal Book Deal: Denies Presidential Aim
The move is likely to refuel speculation about national ambitions, already sparked by fundraisers in at least 11 states since Jindal took office 15 months ago.
"I just want to offer my ideas and my experiences to the conversation," Jindal said.
I can never figure out why politicians who have done everything possible to jump start their presidential bid aside from having Vote for Me! tattooed on their foreheads when asked if they're running turn all shy and retiring. Jindal is just the latest in a long line of what I like to call "Coys Gone Wild".
Ever since he was considered as McCain's running mate (there but for the grace of God, etc.), Jindal has been running all around the country raising money. For what? Friends of Animals? Save the Whales? Hurricane Katrina Victims Fund? Sarah in 2012? Puhleeze. And he's been desperately trying to recover from that disastrous Republican response to Obama's congressional address. What he does have going for him though is that the Republican party needs a little more color, if you know what I mean. And with Michael Steele self-destructing before their very eyes, Jindal's all they've got left.
And let's not forget that he has been quasi-anointed as the 2012 candidate of the party by the Lord High Pooh-bah, Grand Mufti of the Dittoheads, His Excellency Oxycontin the First, Rush Limbaugh. Sounds like a done deal to me.
So cut the crap, Bobby.
