David Buckner, professor of organizational leadership at Columbia University, was discussing the economy with Beck when he wobbled, said that he was passing out, and then fell to the ground.
The segment was titled "Path to Destruction."
No kidding!
The show went to a commercial almost immediately. They just came back and Beck said that Buckner was OK, but he did not return to complete the segment. Beck went on to his interview with Arther Laffer.
I have to wonder if this will be part of Beck's upcoming Comedy Tour - subtitled "Laugh or Die."
A sample joke from Beck's show:
A priest, a minister and a rabbi go into a bar - and they are all killed by Soros-backed ACORN protesters bussed in from FEMA camps where they were re-educated by the mainstream media to worship Obama and Islam.
Beck addressed Mr. Buckner's state again, saying that he was up and walking around. He also said the Buckner apologized, to which Beck responded, don't be silly. This is going to make my ratings soar (or something to that effect). He has really gone the full Howard Beale.
Update: For those concerned about Buckner's well being, please note that I didn't post this diary until AFTER it was announced that he is OK. I included that in my original content. Along with everyone else, I wish him well. I just think that the event was significant enough to report and is an ironic footnote to Beck's program and much of the right's media.
