The Tea Party turnout, as far as I can see at 7 pm Eastern time, was a bust for the organizers. Lots and lots and lots of sad, white, out of touch Americans who - in my perspective - have been victimized and marginalized by their reliance on Fox News and people like Glenn Beck. WWJD?
I'm not a Christian, but I do respect much of what I have read in the New Testament. I've read the entire bible three times.

Sure, some of them are extremists, and probably some of them are dangerous. But, as was made evident in various posts around the blogosphere, are also our aunts, uncles, and grandparents, and neighbors, too. I hear from relatives, that some of my own relatives in West Virginia got involved. A few days ago I was angry at them, now I just feel sorry for them.
I wouldn't say that we should let our guard down, but this was just a sad day. And those are (mostly) sad, pitiable people who the world has left behind, really.
Instead of mocking them any further, perhaps we should engage in a conversation about how we can help them get out of the Fox News ghetto and join us in going forward?
WWJ?
