"Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in." Capo Quinn to Vice President Joe Biden
Yesterday (teabag day) was cold and raining here in the northeast and I posted yet another diary because I’m prolific folks. It was late morning 4/15 and to my credit the diary was unrelated to income taxes, or the FOX news channel.
*and to confuse everyone even more I had formatting issues yesterday, using my new name, today I try again..
There may be trouble ahead
But while there's music and moonlight (moonlight and music) and love and romance
Let's face the music and dance
Before the fiddlers have fled..... Irving Berlin
Don't worry this really is about Joe Biden (eventually)
I work in the evenings but I’m an early riser and I couldn’t log onto a borrowed laptop early this morning after reading or hearing something madding or infuriating just like the other day. So who cares? You, because the word capo from up above is short for caporegime a term used in the Mafia for a high ranking made member of a crime family. I was mad and feeling vengeful and needed to get on that laptop. Joe Biden, Kossacks and everybody in America pay attention. But who the heck is the Mighty Quinn ?
I’d opened up a Time magazine in the first place because I couldn’t log on even earlier and I was still waiting for assistance.....correction, the magazine had been folded back for 2 days to this one article and I was just now making the time to read it. A long piece titled: Undocumented and Undeterred. "Just when I thought I was out .... They pull me back in"(today was going to be sunny and warm, no, I’ll sit inside, off and on, and write another damn diary instead. But I’m going to have some fun while I do it). Editors note, the diarist is threatening to jump off the roof if this is finally posted.
Time Magazine April 20,2009 by Nathan Thornburh p.32,3,4,5 and 36. At the end of March, V.P. Joe Biden told a summit of Latin American leaders....."it’s difficult to tell a constituency while unemployment is rising, they’re losing their jobs and their homes, that what we should do is in fact legalize (undocumented workers) and stop all deportations." Congress is similarly disinclined....
They don't fear the squawk of the little silly chicken hawk
Help us clean our own backyard
Before you go to preach abroad
Believe me, it won't be easy
Scratchin' dirt, cluckin' in the barnyard
Tell me, could that be you?
In that case, lay another egg
Man, try to save yourself from the bar-b-cue
Problem? Recreate the initial outrage now that’s its later and I’ve calmed down from that article. I couldn’t finish more then one page so I moved on to other things, getting the laptop working eventually for one. I woke one sleepy head here (all of us in this commune known as my house work at night) and one (the wife) told me to try turning the laptop on. No s*it. It’s the newly divorced sister-in-laws laptop, she lives with us as does her close friend (another she; I could be Jack and my wife could be Suzanne Summers). Our computer is in for repairs, some rat gave us a virus.
I was ready to cry initially when I read what Biden said, or to be more manly about it, ready to spit. By now you’ve already checked several times and seen that the mighty quinn is a new Kossack and his slate is empty. Is it though?
"If the single man plant himself on his instincts, and there abide, the huge world will come round to him." Candidate quoting Robert Kennedy, quoting Ralph Waldo Emerson., or the first line to a candidates web site in 2008.
I’ve passed through these parts many a time. I’ve mentioned at least fifty times that I was a candidate for political office last year and bombed like every single other independent running against the establishment. But buried in an amateurish, Gone With the Wind length campaign web site was this......a June 8th entry like I was doing a freaken blog.....
....Oil up $11 a barrel last Friday. If this isnÂ’t an energy bubble (it's not) and oil is going still higher, then we might be facing a national calamity. How are we going to pay to heat our homes this winter? That's if you're still employed and have a paycheck. Rome is burning and Mr. LoBiondo spent Election Day last week in Washington voting on resolutions for Men's National Health Week* and designating Arbor Day in some mid-western state. Mr. Kurkowski's (D),web site tells you to call his office for his positions.
********On a different front, one more casualty of this worsening economy will be the off and on again immigration debate... If the economy doesn't get better, we Americans naturally will be much more focused on taking care of ourselves. I'm suggesting to my friends in the Hispanic community not to count on a blanket amnesty if and when there are large Democratic gains in the November elections.********
However, maybe there is a path to earning support for amnesty. Everyone agrees that raising the living standard in Mexico would stop much off the illegal crossing of our border, and help keep families in Mexico intact. But this is unlikely given the ruthlessness of the drug lords in Mexico, and the systemic corruption in the government.....
*this bears repeating Frank LoBiondo. Tomorrow April 18, 2009 is the 2nd annual (vinyl) record day, and there’s no congressional resolution planned now or in the future?

That’s a taste of a too long web site. My God Damnit to Joe Biden and every other poitician is in the box inside the other box above and surrounded by *****

Problem? How to impart the irony and vindication I feel, yet not be seen as a bitter kook? Be sarcastic and just be the good old garden variety kook. I do it all the time now when I write, it relieves the frustration.
....So with sarcasm galore and throwing caution to the wind as usual, lets continue the diary in the wrong tense, the past and present tense, with my new monicker, my old style, and lets roll. Whatever derision I get at the conclusion of this I will have earned because I’m a mad dog troll, so you say.
Well I put down the Time magazine, I couldn’t even finish the article it was too painful and it was early, people were sleeping and the laptop, like I mentioned before, seemed frozen because it wasn’t turned on. It was still cold outside so I picked a book I’ll probably never get the time to read The Alchemy of Air but I was too distraught to read much, and it’s gradually getting warmer so I’ll go outside and work on our vehicles because that relaxes me. I removed the dash bezels on the 150K Ford Aerostar with 150K miles on the clock because I needed to get to the thigamajig behind the dash cluster. I removed 20 screws and it says this on the module "ATTENTION- Before removing cluster contact Ford electronics 1-800-461-6945. I went inside the house. The wife who was now up and eating cheerios, says, "Gary are you going to fashion a hat from tin foil now" because I’m babbling on about William Shatner being on cover of the magazine Hadassah which I brought home from work last night ( a medical office that serves the African-American community and run by Indian doctors) because I was dumbfounded that the same day I looked up a you-tube of Shatner singing (parodying) the Elton John song Rocket Man, I see him on a magazine cover (albeit a low circulation one but perhaps a profitable magazine). I say to my wife that he’s Jewish, my wife says not, well there’s only one way to find out
Break is over my bowl of cheerios was excellent and I called a friend who’s on his 6th Ford Aerostar, but I get a recording. I leave him a message asking if this is "the Ford Aerostar helpline, and then move over to 2nd vehicle a 1964 GMC pick up truck that’s sitting indoors and needs a rear brake cylinder. Part # W133387 (made in China) Wheel Cylinder Brake, 1 yr. replacement, $19.23 list, but for me a tier 2 customer and made man, $14.94. Take that!!!! You foreign car lovers! My 45 year old Detroit jalopy parts can be found in stock at Advance and cost just $10.44.
That’s when I put the old vinyl Steppenwolf on the phonograph and heard
the song Chicken Wolf. The guitar man does riffs that sound like a chicken going bawk, bawk, bawk (wife’s spelling)....
.....that’s when I knew its Diary time tonight.
P.S. Endless delay on immigration reform. I know that point is buried in a bunch of gibberish above. What difference does that make? Nobody is out there listening.
David Bowie
I watch the ripples change their size
But never leave the stream
Of warm impermanence and
So the days float through my eyes
But still the days seem the same
And these children that you spit on
As they try to change their worlds
Are immune to your consultations
They're quite aware of what they're going through
Ch-ch-ch-ch-Changes
(Turn and face the strain)
Ch-ch-Changes
Don't tell t hem to grow up and out of it
Ch-ch-ch-ch-Changes
(Turn and face the strain)
Ch-ch-Changes
Where's your shame
You've left us up to our necks in it
Time may change me
But you can't trace time
Strange fascination, fascinating me
Changes are taking the pace I'm going through
Ch-ch-ch-ch-Changes
(Turn and face the strain)
