Ahmadinejad asks George Stephanopoulos a question about Israel that is not even addressed as a question in the round table.
Why?
I was watching President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad being interviewed by George Stephanopoulos this morning on "This Week".
George asked Ahmadinejad "Why do you insist on questioning the Holocaust even when it's established as a historical fact and even when politicians here in Iran worry that kind of talk isolates Iran"?
AHMADINEJAD: "I'm going to talk about that as well. Don't be hasty. I have posed two questions over Holocaust".
"My first question was, if the Holocaust happened, where did it take place? In Europe. Why should they make amends in Palestine? The Palestinian people had no role to play in the Holocaust. They had no role, for that matter, in the Second World War".
"Racism happened in Europe, the amends are made in Palestine"?
Fast forward to the round table discussion and this question is never put on the table.
Now I know the holocaust happened and have no need to question this in any way but I want to get to the question; Can this question be asked? Will the media even allow it to be discussed?
Why is Israel in Palestine and not in Germany and Poland? Or did I miss something and the holocaust really happen in Palestine?
I think Ahmadinejad makes a point and I want to know why the question is untouchable?
Update: I read all the comments this morning. And the typical I/P mud slinging ensued but at least it was discussed. In the MSM this topic is not even discussed in any way.
