And the Great GOP God Limbo said unto his people:

"Something else you have to understand is these people hate Palin too," the conservative radio host said Monday. "They despise Sarah Palin, they fear Sarah Palin, they don't like her either. She's, according to them she's embarrassing. McCain said, 'I was there with Ronald Reagan'.... No Reagan voter ever believed McCain was a Reaganite.
Disabuse yourself of any thought that Rush Limbo is just another bullshit blustering con man on the radio. Aside from being the biggest (in so many ways, except one, we hear), Limbaugh has established himself as the de facto leader of what remains of the Republican party. He's like one of those vultures and hyenas who descended upon the African battlefields in World War II and gorged themselves on the corpses of the soldiers. He saw his opportunity and he took it. Big time.
After the two back-to-back election defeats they suffered, the Republicans found themselves message less, clueless, and leaderless. Politics, like Nature, abhors a vacuum and that void was quickly filled by Limbaugh. He immediately set about the remaking of the party in his own image and likeness. The party of "Shock and Awe" would henceforth be the party of "Fear and Smear".
It speaks volumes about the kind of people the Republicans in Congress are by the way that they have been totally subsumed into the new Limbaugh party. It proves once and for all that this motley crew of human wind-up toys have no original ideas, no concrete solutions to the real problems of the country, and ultimately have no backbones or balls among the lot of them. They can only continue to spout the same tired talking points and rhetoric they have been programmed with for years. And their new leader is making sure that programming remains intact with just a little tweak here and there. Limbaugh is a vengeful god and woe betide the mere elected official who dares contradict or disobey him. He has a terrible swift sword.
Ultimately, those of us who stand against everything Limbaugh represents must also bow our heads in thanksgiving and gratitude for his very being and existence. And we all wish him a very long and prosperous future as "Dear Leader" so that he may continue for years to come to squeeze the last breath of life out of the Republican party
