Well, sort of. But not really.
I'm not going to be able to blog any more at Daily Kos...at least not on the front page. But I am most certainly not leaving permanently.
I've accepted a position as Blog and Netroots Outreach Manager at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. It's an incredible opportunity for me, and one I couldn't turn down.
It is also, I think, a great moment for the netroots - three and a half years ago, I was an anonymous, underemployed college graduate who stumbled across Daily Kos while looking for news on Senate races. Now, I'm going to be employed by one of the party committees. I'm absolutely a product of the netroots, and I think this marks a great step forward in our perception inside the Beltway.
This is a tough moment for me. Everything I know, and everything I've done in the political sphere, has been a result of my association with Daily Kos. So this makes the move away from the front page especially hard for me.
I'll still be here as much as the new job allows, of course. I consider Daily Kos to be my home.
And I want to thank so many people - my wonderful bosses Markos, Susan, and Barb, the rest of the contributing editors, and everyone in this community. You have made me so much happier, so much wiser, and so much humbler over the past three years.
I'll miss you.
