Ms. Prejean,
How arrogant, presumptuous, demogoguery and self-serving can you be? YOU are NOT just like Pres. Obama. We know very little about your views on gays, gay rights and gay marriage. Based on your statement at the Miss USA pageant, your attendance at a conservative Christian college, your new affiliation with the National Organization for Marriage, your appearances with conservative radio, and your hero status with the right, we can only assume the worst.
Although President Obama has publicly stated his position on marriage as being "between a man and woman," he atleast has advocated for strong civil union laws as alternative:
I am a strong supporter not of a weak version of civil unions, but of a strong version, in which the rights that are conferred at the federal level to persons who are part of the same sex union are compatible.
He has shown an openess to changing that position and is has stated in his best seller, Audacity of Hope, the possibility that his position may be proven wrong.
Unlike yourself Ms. Prejean, Pres. Obama has also atleast has a very strong gay rights record.
Let's examine:
***The Human Rights Campaign in 2006 rated Senator Barack Obama at 89%, labelling him as having a "pro gay rights" record.
***Sen. Barack Obama has voted NO on the Federal Marriage Amendment.
***Sen. Barack Obama has co-sponsored a bill granting benefits to domestic partners of federal employees
***State Sen. Barack Obama opposed Illinois' DOMA bill in 1996
***Pres. Obama has pledged to sign the Employment Non-Discrimination Act when it comes to his desk
***Pres. Obama has pledged to sign the hate crimes bill when it comes to his desk
***In a hand written letter to a gay soldier being discharged, he has pledge to get a concensus in congress to repeal DADT.
***Barack Obama has been a member of a church, United Church of Christ, for over 20 years that performs same-sex marriages
***Pres. Obama has supported the UN's Resolution decriminalizing homosexuality, reversing the U.S. position during the Bush years
***Pres. Obama & First Lady has deliberately invited same-sex couples and their children to the White House Easter Egg Hunt.
This is just a partial sample of his past and present actions. Also Ms. Prejean, as opposed to your smug absolutist, literalist views you have expressed on talk radio, here is just a SMALL sample of what Barack has written or said on the issue of marriage, civil unions and homosexuality in general:
I am not willing to have the state deny American citizens a civil union that confers equivalent rights on such basic matters as hospital visitation or health insurance coverage simlpy because the people they love are of the same sex--nor am I willing to accept a readingof the Bible that considers an obscure line in Romans to be more defining of Christianity than the Sermon on the Mount.

According to Barack Obama, IT'S OKAY TO EXPOSE SIX YEAR OLDS TO GAY COUPLES; THEY ALREADY KNOW
Q: Last year some parents of second graders in Lexington, Massachusetts, were outraged to learn their children’s teacher had read a story about same-sex marriage, about a prince who marries another prince. Would you be comfortable having this story read to your children as part of their school curriculum?
A: My 9-year-old and my 6-year-old are already aware that there are same-sex couples. And my wife and I have talked about it. And one of the things I want to communicate to my children is not to be afraid of people who are different, and because there have been times in our history where I was considered different. And one of the things I think the next president has to do is to stop fanning people’s fears.
Q: Have you sat down with your daughters to talk about same-sex marriage?
A: My wife has.

Is Homosexuality a choice?
I do not believe being gay or lesbian is a choice

You see Ms. Prejean....there is a long-established record here. There is a basis for why I trust and respect Barack Obama alot more than you. There is a basis for believing we may have the most PRO-GAY president to sit in the White House to date. YOU, Miss Prejean, do not compare.
