A trip through Idaho beginning with Pocatello then to Idaho Falls and ending at spectacular Upper & Lower Mesa Falls, including two zoos and lots of flowers:

Just a little reminded that this Earth is filled with beauty, so much beauty that it is inexhaustible, and that the greatest beauty of the Earth is life itself ... Nature has maintained this planet in a living state for billions of years and that is the only reason why there are waterfalls and wildlife and wildflowers to appreciate.
My faith in humankind, low as it is, declined when reading the news of various people happily killing pregnant sharks:
Joshua xxxx, 19, and Robert xxxx, 16, spent two hours fighting to land the bull shark, one of the deadliest fish in the sea, then displayed it in the back of a pickup for curious onlookers in the parking lot of The Pier. They said they used sting rays as bait that they caught earlier.
The curator of the Pier Aquarium, which includes a shark exhibit, said he would have preferred it if the teens had released the bull shark. The teens said they planned to save the jaws as a trophy and might give the meat to relatives.
The killing comes on the heels of criticism of Capt. Bucky Dennis, who caught and killed a pregnant 1,060-pound hammerhead shark in early May so he could log another world record.
The empathy for two pregnant sharks, Winner said, might be the product of decades of public education.

If you want to know why the Earth is such a mess, so many species extinct or on the edge of extinction, and also why the newspaper is filled with so much violence & why human history is filled with so much warfare ... here is your answer.
Humans love violence. Humans love to kill things. This tendency to destroy everything is an innate human trait and therefore beyond the reach of correction.
What is even more tragic than killing animals for sport is reading the responses to the act. Seems there must be millions of Americans who think that Nature was created to provide humans with something to kill.
The human tragedy is the greatest tragedy in the Universe.
As bad as these people are the sharks they are even worse to humankind. Future generations are going to inherit a depleted, inhospitable mess of a planet from this generation and they aren't going to survive.
In destroying everything humankind will destroy itself.
