Boo-Fuckin-Hoo...
Sorry that is how I feel about GBCW diaries.
Getting banned for not following the rules is one thing, and yes, the world revolves around rules, somebody always answer to someone. But the GBCW diaries because some newbies lit my ass up or I am grossly misunderstood, or Daily Kos has changed? Please, are we not tough enough around here?
NOTE: Not in reference to the current diary on the rec list
There is so much going on which will affect each and every one of us that whimpering and crying in a diary is not needed.
President Obama was on a conference call, this week urging and telling us all that if we don't pass healthcare, THIS CYCLE, it won't get passed. Instead we have to read diaries about somebody leaving this camp (DKOS) because maybe some in this camp don't agree with he/she's opinion?
PUHLEAZE.
Look at the Republican Party right now. Look at them. They don't know where their asses are at right now, it is that disarray that they see themselves in. They have so alientated many groups that they lost in 2008, they don't know how to try to get them back. They are so dated, old, and representative of some old, foggy bottom, white man old folks home that they don't know what to do. But more importantly, they don't know nor understand the richness of diversity.
Diversity.
That is what this site is about and that is what we are about as Democrats. Our big tent welcomes those opposed to abortion and those for it. We welcome those who are gay and those who are heterosexual. We don't look at people by the color of their skin, but welcome their voices. We don't have a litmus test to see if you are Democrat enough, we take you at your word. But more importantly, it is our party that was able to put a black man in the highest office of this land, not caring about the color of his skin, but believing given a mandate and chance he can change some things.
That is the Democratic Party.
And it includes people who disagree, even here at Daily Kos.
Going away, crying GBCW does not help nor solve anything. If you believe in something, you must fight for it.
You won't see me writing a GBCW diary, I am too damn stubborn to just give up. I am a tough old bird and GBCW is just not in my soul. (even though I am not that old)
Healthcare voices and boots on the ground is needed. You got something to say? Start with helping us at Organizing for America.
President Obama is right. If we don't get healthcare passed this cycle, while he has POLITICAL CAPITAL, it won't happen.
Wake up.
