In KAren Wehrstein's rec-listed diary from earlier today, KossaCanuck health care poll: the results, a non-scientific poll from this site came up with some impressive results. Why can't we help fund a REAL poll with the same (or very similar) questions?
It seems to me that a truly scientific poll that found similar results (the vast majority of Canadians have not had necessary healthcare delayed or denied while the opposite is true for people in the USA) would help destroy the right-wing (and media-parroted) talking points about UHC = waiting lists and denial of care.
It also seems to me that DKOS could, without too much pain, forego the next poll on how well-liked president Obama is and instead poll people on the questions laid out in Karen Wehrstein's diary.
And if it's a matter of $, I would be thrilled to contribute some of the money I would normally spend on food to keep my enemployed self fed to the cause of getting this poll out there ASAP.
Does anyone know if and how this can be done?
I thought it was more important to get the question out there (to see whther others find this idea as EXCITING as I do) than to write a very good diary.
And if you know why I shouldn't be excited about this possible poll, please feel free to pee on my parade. (no, seriously. I want to know why this wouldn't work because I'm shocked that an idea this good hasn't already been proposed and found wanting.)
Now for the poll
