Between New Year's Eve of 2007 and New Year's Eve 2008 I posted 223 diaries containing 606 photos, most of those my own work shot with an Olympus 720SW, and they garnered 13,741 comments. I wielded my editor's stick with a will over the last few days, deleting a good bit of what I'd posted here, then I used the software I wrote to pull diaries out of DailyKos to get a first draft outline for a book I plan on entitling Epochalypse Now.
Only 108 of those diaries made the cut, along with the six entries chronicling my near death experience in the spring of 2008 under the name One Brave Kossack. The draft on my server is infinitely more readable than what the Great Orange Satan does to my HTML, but here is the outline of what ought to become a road story about trying to save the human race ... and myself in the process.
