WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate is near agreement on a broad bipartisan plan to revamp the costly healthcare system, and legislation is very likely to pass, a leading senator said on Monday.
Democratic Senator Max Baucus told Reuters in an interview the powerful Senate Finance Committee he chairs would propose draft legislation this week, estimating there was an "85 to 90 percent" chance meaningful healthcare reform would be passed in the Senate with bipartisan support.
I would be willing to bet that this is that shitty Co-Op deal!!!
Guys if we dont do something fast, this is the shit reform they are going to push through!!!
I am sick to death of Democrats caving to the Republicans for Bipartiasan ship! We dont need it. What we need is for Obama to get some balls, tell the senate what he wants and ask who is with me.
The for all of the Conservitive Dems that are against him, he should tell them that if you dont come on board, I am going to travel to your state, and tell them that you are holind up the public option!!!
Play hard ball and just get the fucking thing passed already!!
Its not about getting the most agreed on bill, its about getting the one that is the best bill no matter what the Republicans think.
To tell you the truth, any bill that the republicans would even want to sign on to, is a sign to me that it is a weal bill. The more they protest, the better the bill will be for the people of America!!
Obama, grow a pair, keep your integrity, and get the thing Passed no matter what you have to give up for political capital.
