This is why I will not give any more of my hard earned (and ever less) money to President Obama or the Democratic Party (see below):

  1.  The Bush Administration clearly commited serious war crimes, including extraodinary rendition, torture, illegal wiretapping on the whole country, and others.  The Obama Administration appears to now be complicit in a cover-up of criminal behavior, making them complicit in these crimes.  I see little effort on behalf of the Democratic Party, now in control of Congress, or the Obama Administration to rehabilitate the government in these crimes.  As long as this is the case, please don't ask me for any money or support for what appears to be the continuation of criminal behavior (e.g., continuing the "state's secrets" defense and the 180 on the torture photos.)  As a good citizen, I cannot provide support to criminal behavior.
  1.  Barack Obama promised to overturn DOMA.  Instead, his DOJ has filed the most vile, right-wing defense of DOMA anyone could imagine.  That same defense could have been filed by Jerry Falwell.  Or maybe Obama's good friend who he had give the invocation at his inaguration.  Sickening at every level.

I don't trust President Obama right now.  I feel decieved at so many levels.

President Obama can regain my trust, and my contributions for him and the Democratic Party, but only if these awful, Bush Administration tactics are reversed.  But not a penny or a vote until then.

Hope you will pass this on to the boss.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
