As I try to get people interested in this incredible story, I find again and again that even the loftiest rhetoric simply cannot compete with the power of the visual image. The pictures smuggled out of Iran over the last 10 days trigger in their viewers an immediate, instinctual sense of connectedness and shared humanity that cuts effortlessly through preconceived ideologies and prejudices. These men and women are our brothers and sisters, sons and daughters, friends and lovers. These people are us. What follows is my own compilation of these images, from many sources. Please save them, forward them, cherish them, and never, ever forget them.
