Last Saturday I decided to go to the local tea party after I saw a sign at a street corner promoting it. Although there were no Hitler/Obama signs or anything extremely controversial I did sense a lot of frustration in the crowd after losing such a big election. It was the Republican base at its purest, white and protestant.

I had tried to interview Rhonda Storms (Fl state senate seat 10) and a Candidate for District 12's seat (currently Adam Putnam's) but was unable to. While the crowd was mostly peaceful a few lines from Rhonda Storms really veered almost into hate speech. The county had recently rejected a resolution to recognize same sex couples and she had applauded it along with the crowd. That's not much of a surprise coming from someone who fought to remove all LGBT books from the local libraries.
Sorry it took so long to post I was sick this past weekend and spent much of it working and then in bed.
