Everybody remembers that 3 years ago, Hezbollah went to war with Israel, and the war wasn't a clear cut victory for anyone. The UN negotiated a ceasefire, and since then, there hasn't been much fighting. This after a war of self defence against Hezbollah, who want an Islamic state or caliphate, and who would eliminate Jews just for being Jewish, and strived for this thru firing weapons on innocent civilians ONLY BECAUSE they were civilians. Like Hamas in Gaza, they play the PR game, they get everyone to hate Israel because of civilian casualties, even tho Hezbollah hides among civilians and fires from and behind civilian locations. Not to mention stashing their weapons there.
They have continued, in violation of the ceasefire, to turn homes into weapons houses. Even the UNIFIL, the peacekeeping force, who now, unlike the UN itself, which has proven its bias against Israel numerous times, like when the Refugee commission admitted to having Hamas people on its payroll, sees what Hezbollah does, has called their illegal weapons houses a serious violation.
The IDF released video footage taken from an Israeli aircraft, showing a home that had exploded on Tuesday in the village of Hirbet Selm - located some 20 kilometers north of the Lebanese border. The roof is seen in the footage with dozens of holes, which IDF ballistic experts said were the size of 122-mm. Katyusha rockets.
UNIFIL said that it considers the incident a "serious violation" of the UN resolution that ended the conflict, which specifies that there should be no presence of unauthorized assets or weapons in the area of operations.
Following the incident, Israeli defense officials accused Lebanon of violating United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701.
According to the officials, the cache was hidden in a storehouse inside the village and contained dozens of 122mm Katyusha rockets as well as high-powered machine guns. Some of the rockets reportedly flew into the sky.
The blast took place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, and for the first few hours, Hizbullah sealed off the area and refused to grant UNIFIL or the Lebanese army access. IDF sources said that the clearing of the home and the unexploded ordinance had taken over 24 hours.
Now it would be of a terrorist group to keep stashing away weapons, especially in civilian homes. Hezbollah has shown it has no regard for peace and this, unlike accusations against Israel, has been proven. Israel should not have to put up with Hezbollah in any way, let alone their hatred and their desire for war. Neither should anyone else. Lebanon has suffered too much war in the last 30 years, ever since the PLO invaded and turned it into a haven for attacks on the Jewish State, to today with Hezbollah, or as they call themselves, the "army of God."
