Hey Sarah,
I know that you are incapable of doing anything other than repeating false talking points, but you have gone too far yet again. You see, some time ago, I had a cyst in one of my kidneys. Well wouldn't you know it, after an initial biopsy determining that it was benign (though still dangerous), the doctors wanted to resect the damaged portion. I waited for almost a week for the doctors... I mean insurance company, to decide what to do. The doctors wanted to resect it to leave me with two functioning kidneys. The insurance company decided on a different course of action.
It's quite true that we can function with only one kidney, however, a longer more expensive surgery would have left me with two. It is like driving on a spare tire, sure everything is fine now, but what if you get another flat.
This is why I'm so lucky to have insurance, because my life was saved, but not without someone checking the bottom line first.
You are afraid of the government killing your child? Insurance companies do it everyday. Look up rescission. My aunt lost her job and was forced to pay over a thousand dollars per month for a private plan. Then she got breast cancer. The first thing they did was try to knock her off the rolls. Unable to do that, after asking countless questions of her, her family and doctors, they then initially denied almost every treatment. They said they were 'experimental'.
So you think the president wants to kill children now huh? How would you have voted on SCHIP? How would you have voted if given the chance, when George W. Bush let a retarded man be put to death in Texas?
Tell me again who runs these death panels Ms. Palin. It is not the Democrats. We are the ones who are trying to save the less fortunate. You are the one's saying "fuck you, I've got mine." You have gone to far, and your right wing loony friends are beyond the pale. You make me sick, but fortunately, I am still insured through my employer. I hope Alaska isn't still providing you with the same benefit having been unable to complete your term.
PS... I'm sorry for the vitriol, but I had the most stressful experience of my life dealing with this stuff. No one should have to worry as I did, about what will be covered when they need a life saving treatment.
Updated: Title includes FNBB. See, I used to write a weekly FNBB series, so I changed the title hoping some of my old friends would stop by. As I said, I used to be a big fan of beer.
