I just read your diary. Then I read the first comment. It was something to the effect of "this will die out as people realize she's stupid". No it won't. It will not die out until we, (and I do it all the time) quit name calling, quit screaming in our frustration, and start organizing. President Obama did it when he gave a speech at the Democratic National Convention. Patrick Henry did it when he said "give me liberty or give me death". Those words created the greatest nation on earth. And now we are fighting for the same thing.

I'm sick of this. I can't tell you how much I want to believe that first comment and go have some fun today. I stayed up until 3 a.m. writing to CNN to tell them that the "news" I listened to was a flat out lie. I had just watched Rachel Maddow and she interviewed the same man they did. The interviews, I promise you, did not reveal the same man.

Sarah Palin is no longer news. She is "Star Magazine" quality crap. Do you know who drives CNN and FOX and CBS and ABC the craziest?  Media matters. They HATE Media Matters. I am just grateful that Media Matters gets noticed by them. That is organization.

We need to take back the power of our voices. We bring them here. We find the smartest group of writers in America (wish I were one of them) and then we read the fine writing of all of us who agree with each other.

This is what we need to do:

We must hold the media accountable. They are controlling the minds of America. There are some of the best writers in the world on this blog, but if you're not writing to CNN is your message getting out?

We need to do what Patrick Henry did. They can have their f---ing tea parties. We can have the Stamp Act. Ironically, we don't need stamps to protest anymore. We have an email army. And although Patrick Henry was opposing taxation by the British  I am opposing the free ride that that churches get even though they tell people how to vote. Why am I paying taxes to support people who go to town halls to oppose my freedom? I just talked to a woman that bragged that her Obama hating husband was going to take unemployment, without looking for a job, as long as they would pay it. I wanted to throw up.  Her church tells her to hate Obama and when she gives them money she gets a TAX DEDUCTION.

So yes, if your church tells you how to vote, implies that God wants you to vote a certain way, tells you that you need to support candidates who support teaching Creationism instead of science, or in any way uses the name of GOD to tell you how to vote I want the tax dollars, that are due the United States, paid from your pseudo church.

Now, for the rest of us:

  1. Organize. Do not let them get away with the lies that they promote on CNN. Send it to their breaking news department as they are breaking that "news". The email is:

BreakingNews@mail.cnn.com

They are the absolute worst. They spread lies 24/7. You think Lou Dobbs is bad? His evil is out there for everyone to see. Like Rush Limbaugh, he preaches only to the choir. It is when Wolf is interviewing, and he knows that the person he is interviewing is lying through his teeth, that my neighbor considers he is hearing the truth.

Last night Rachel Maddow interviewed Tim Phillips, of "Americans for Prosperity". She pointed out that he had to pay fines in the millions for Medicare Fraud. When he said that both Democrats and Republicans were screaming at the Town Halls for healthcare reform she said that his "republicans" were bussed in and paid. Later he was interviewed on CNN. He so sweetly told CNN that the reason the Democrats were screaming too was that there was so much passion about this issue. PEOPLE believe this sh--. CNN just lets him go on and on. Their version of challenging him was to say "there are people who say that your crowds are bussed in". Then he is allowed to tell them what a lie that is.

When I googled for information about his CNN appearance I got the quote below from him on his website "Americans for Prosperity". I put the quote in below and then I went back to find the website so I could include a link. I clicked on something and immediately got a message that my computer was being attacked by viruses. But the joke is on them about the viruses. I'm on a Mac. They can't get their viruses into my computer. What asses.

Ah.... how I love the history button on my computer. Here is the link to the quote and it doesn't (as of this writing) have the virus thing.

http://www.americansforprosperity.or...

Now the big thing to note from the "quote" below is that both George Will and John Stossel spoke at one of their meetings. Note that they BRAGGED about being featured on CNN. It's time we told CNN that we know they are turning into FOX and it's just a ratings grab. I told them this in my email last night.

This is a quote from his website:

"On October 10 & 11, we once again welcomed more than 1,400 of our best grassroots activists to Washington, D.C. for our second annual Americans for Prosperity Foundation Defending the American Dream Summit.

These top AFP citizen-activists to Washington, DC, stormed the capitol in a massive show of force which was seen by millions of Americans live on Fox News and CNN, received the best available grassroots and issues training, and heard from inspiring speakers like George Will and John Stossel. "

We must organize. We must flood the mainstream media with the fact that we know they are lying. They are organized. They want the Senate in 2010 and if they get it they just keep on with their plans to take over America. I have corresponded a little with Frank Schaeffer. He and his father (same name) founded the evangelical movement in America. He has written repeatedly to warn President Obama and America that we are in great danger from these people. They are all over our SENATE. They are in power.

We are in a fight for America that is no less than the one fought by Patrick Henry. If you don't believe it just buy Frank Schaeffers New York Times bestseller "Crazy for God".  The leaders of this movement are flat out stating that they want America to be a church run state... NO freedom of religion, no freedom of speech.

And all of the people who go to their churches are not aware of what they are participating in. But it doesn't take a big group to take over... just a very well organized one who controls, religion, the media, the teaching of children through college, (Campus Crusade for Christ is one of their most effective at beating us) and our government. The National Prayer Breakfast, attended by most Senators is run by Doug Coe. Read Jeff Sharlet's "The Family". Coe wants to run America... until his death.

We need to organize our churches to fight back, we need to keep at the media until they quit lying. The problem with that is that they are all RICH and they want lower taxes.... the republicans only platform. I don't think Katie Couric realizes she will become "property" that can be sold if she is married.

And the most insidious thing... they no longer preach about abortions and all the depressing stuff. They started losing membership as only so many people are willing to hold up 10 x 10 foot signs of dead babies. They completely changed recruiting tactics. Now they have a great rock and roll show, the preacher is hot, the singers don't wear that much (some look like they came from Hooters), they have hundreds of books on sex and how to make it best. Of course those books are for "married people". Right.

I don't want to lose America to this. We are too smart to let them just take it away.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

    •  You haven't really got a prayer. (0+ / 0-)

They have GOD on their side. They are being protected by all of Christianity just so they can be counted in the census. WE couldn't have the majority of Americans not believing in the GOD we trust our money with, right?

Seriously, a lot of this is generational. With each generation there are more and more that understand what the agenda of religion truly is. More and more people are seeing how sick and twisted the concept of "the Christ" really is. It is only a matter of time. In the mean time, hang in there and give em hell at every chance.

As if we could make things better without making them worse.

      •  I used to think it was generational too (0+ / 0-)

The problem is that now there is a whole generation of 20 somethings who think that church means a rock and roll band and a really good time. Sure they'll vote the way they're told.

I'm 58 and if the Rolling Stones come to town I'm there. And I swear it is just as much fun as when I was 19. Of course this time I don't get hit on and I'm thankful. But for this generation, as long as it's all about the show then why not? If they were good every time I'd go see the Stones every weekend, even now.

One of the most beautiful, smart young girls I've ever met (looks like Cindy Crawford at 20) has the hots for her PREACHER and talks about it. He's married, 3 children and he has 10 thousand young women who feel the same way. He dresses for it and dances for it and this is what they think church is.

  •  I have been fighting the lies for almost a month (6+ / 0-)

I e-mail after every broadcast. I e-mail the FCC. I called and wrote my representatives to ask them to reform the rules for cable and broadcast news. I have requested rebuttle time.

My friends and I were laughing the other day about the birthers lawsuit, and we thought, "We should sue Fox News for lying." Get a up and coming pro bono lawyer who would be willing to take this on.
Because they advertise, "Fair and Balanced", we feel we were deceived.

There has got to be a law against that.
