...I swear to you that this is an actual, complete letter to the editor that appeared in my local newspaper yesterday.

The following list includes some of the rules or mandates that are presented in Obama's health-care plan:

  1. Health care for elderly will be rationed, yet illegal aliens will receive free health care.
  1. The federal government will specify which doctor the patient will receive through the government requirements.
  1. Mandatory end-of-life advice and painkiller meds and assisted suicide counseling is obligatory, instead of surgery, therapy etc.
  1. High deductible coverage through healthy living will not lower premium benefits or cost.
  1. All medical centers must perform mandatory abortions and sex change surgeries, even though the elderly will be denied medical care.
  1. Thirty-one new federal government bureaucracies will be created to govern the medical centers throughout the states and monitor what you eat and exercise from Washington D.C.
  1. Eventually all will be forced to switch current private insurance to Obama's federal health-care insurance.
  1. Any with an incurable disease will not be able to have health care services. (Example: Dementia, Down syndrome, degenerative cancer, etc.)

Our lawmakers don't want to be covered under Obama's heath plan.

Our lawmakers don't want to read Obama's health-care bill.

Our lawmakers want to rush and pass this bill before we are aware of its contents.

This health-care plan will cost another $1 trillion from the federal budget where we are already economically bankrupt.

Contact your senators and representatives by phone, e-mail and/or regular mail. Call your senators in Washington and local offices in person. Attend town meetings. Ask questions and spread the word to friends.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
