The information was only released this evening. Here's the story from a New Hampshire paper. A knife was found on the man inside the hall, then a subsequent search revealed a loaded, unlicensed gun in his car. Before someone says that this is no big deal, consider that this was a mass meeting of Obama supporters, and they were streaming in and out of the parking lot.
How many weapons do you take with you when you go to see a Presidential candidate, or a sitting President, speak?
UPDATE: After reading some suggestions in the comments, I've changed the title from "Man arrested for gun at Obama event" to "Man arrested for gun before Obama event." Sorry if any confusion was caused, I assumed that most were informed that the man outside the Obama event was not arrested. I can see the reason for the confusion, how many people brought guns to this thing? I'd like to ask one more question, what would have happened if an anti-Iraq war protester or Democrat had been arrested for a gun within miles of Bush or Cheney during 2001-2008? We would have heard about it for weeks.
