After watching and listening intently to all of the Real Americans at the town halls voicing their well reasoned opposition to the Health Reform plans being debated, I have come to the conclusion that they are correct. Today, I am going to stand with the True Patriots against President Obama's Fascist/Socialist/Communist takeover.
(I had been thinking of doing this diary for a while and was inspired to post it today by The best comment on the Whole Foods fiasco, but it is really about asking for advice on what evil I should protest at my upcoming town hall)
Now, I think as a new conservative convert I should go out and purchase a Copy of Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugs and sleep with it under my pillow as I digest its practical wisdom and guidance in establishing a restored America to our founders' original idea of a country based on personal responsibility. Speaking of personal responsibility, I have noticed that my Republican brethren have been deceived and brainwashed by all of the Communists my patron saint, Joseph McCarthy, fought against. Socialism as infected MY country and it shall be my personal responsibility to end the tyranny of the Left.
Now, to do this I am going to take advantage of joining with my fellow Patriots at my Representative's town hall meeting next week. My only problem is that the list of socialized tyranny is so extensive that I do not know where to start.
First maybe I will start with the localized socialism. Right now I am thinking about the local police force. I have never used the police for anything. Why should I pay with MY hard earned tax dollars? This could be rectified if we just privatized it. Get a gun and defend yourself against home robberies or muggings on the street. If you are too weak to do this, then just hire a private security company. Maybe Healthnet can start offering insurance for our new private security firms. It would be a brand new money making venture and it will help my idol, Erik Prince, afford that third or fourth private island. While I am at it, I think the fire department can go to. I have never used that worthless socialist entity. Just get a fricking bucket of water and put out your own darn house fire. Don't whine to hard working individuals such as myself to take care of you.
I live in California so we can move to the state level. I am tired of subsidizing all these state park services. We should immediately sell them off and use the trees for productive uses, like being turned into a coffee table. Right now the trees just sit there and do not add anything to the GDP. Worthless communist waste. I get sick thinking about all my taxes being stolen so that latte drinking hippies can hike around instead of shopping or so that someone else can take their children camping. Build a tent in your living room if you want to camp or go to a new private park, if you are worthy enough to have an income to afford it. I think all roads should be sold off and disband the DMV. With tolls on every road, it will help keep poor people from driving on them and more room for me to drive at 100mph with my open Coorslight(yes, drinking and driving will be allowed, because laws are a form of Leftist Fascism anyway).
Finally, let's take on the really nefarious evil of Social Security and Medicare. Ronald Reagan was right. I saw today on the Drudgereport a link to the Gipper speaking of the horrors of socialized medicine via a youtube video; 1961: Reagan Speaks Out Against Socialized Medicine.... Alas, I don't know why Drudge did not specify that what was talking about Medicare, it almost seems that he was misleading his readers with the headline, but I know Drudge is a balanced news site and not partisan in any way.
This week I will have my sign ready for No Socialism; End Medicare. Maybe I ought to bring a petition as my fellow Teabaggers will eagerly sign it. They are all against government involvement in health insurance, so I know I will need lots of paper for all those signatures. Ditto for Social Security. I keep hearing that SS and Medicare will be insolvent in the future, so why keep funding them? Why take my tax dollars now to give to a bunch of other people. I have backpacked in South American countries(that was when I used to be a liberal and want to know things about the rest of the world). I can tell you that the elderly in many of those places do not rely on the government to "take care of them." It is refreshing to see strong family values at work as 13 family members share the same room and spend their days trying to scrape a living together and trying to survive. When people have too much free time they tend to do socially disruptive things like educating themselves and getting involved in causes like social justice. I saw the future of the US as 70 year old men would push icecream carts around selling Popsicles for a dollar a day. Those are people "pulling themselves up by their bootstraps." Get an icecream cart Gramps and stop bugging me to support you.
