Oh, the times we live in.
I could have made this up and been told I had a really bad attitude about republicans.
The truth is I DO have a bad attitude about republicans - they are working hard to completely ruin America -but I didn't make this up.
Load your weapons and make the jump!
Yes...it begins with a healthcare town hall hosted by a republican congressman from California. Named Wally Herger. Wally. No...really.
Yes, Wally is one of those paranoid dumbshits that says any public health option a ‘threat to democracy’, as if he actually cared about democracy (or even knows what it is)
an incident broke out at a town hall at Simpson University in Redding on Tuesday when Herger signaled encouragement to a 67-year-old town hall attendee, Bert Stead, who called himself a "proud right-wing terrorist."
"Amen, God bless you," Herger reportedly replied to the comment. "There is a great American."
That's a smart move, Wally. Praise terrorists at a healthcare town hall. Brilliant.
Some Americans got fed up with that attitude and let loose with their own and were force out of the town hall meeting physically. To the cheering of the wingnut crowd, who cares do goddamned much about "Democracy".
"Our democracy has never been threatened as much as it is today," the Mount Shasta Area Newspapers quoted Herger as saying.
The comment evidently was received with "a loud standing ovation."
Yes, the abilty to go to the doctor, to get proper medical care in a timely manner and that one can afford without having to eat ramen noodles for the next 9 months (or file bankruptcy) is a HUGE threat to Democracy in America.
There are no words in English to express how stupid these people are, nor my contempt for them.
I need healthcare and these morans don't need to be paying as much for care as they are.
God, how they can find their way home without an escort is a mystery to me.
