Standard disclaimer: Leave your loathing of meta, World of Warcraft, or community diaries outside. If you think we should be playing your MMO instead, start a guild and write a recruitment diary. Don't leave a comment here and then get all hurtful when it isn't received with flowers and candy. Link to your recruitment diary is OK though.
Standard advertisement: Wreck List is the Daily Kos World of Warcraft guild. We are Horde-side on the Garrosh server. To join, roll up a character on Garrosh and when you log in type

and any officer can get you in the guild. Yes, you have to be Horde. No, you don't have to be hardcore - casuals, PvPers, and people that just want to hang out on guild chat are all welcome.
Socialist Days have begun, and had some success. Meanwhile, our fearless lead healer has returned from Glacier National Park with her eye on Ulduar.
So following a lively discussion last week about what we could do to liven things up, one thing was that the concept of Socialist Days -- where people jump in and volunteer some of their time solely to their guildmates -- had some success. We got more materials for the guild vaults, people got quests done that had sat in their logs for a while, and some people went for the good stuff and did some instances. So it's a good idea, and one I plan on continuing. Although next time, I'm not setting aside a four hour window... eesh!
The other day, when Caelesta and Hlín got back, we decided to take a leisurely stroll through Naxx. Got a quarter and a half done, and then wiped on that stupid dog. Trying to formulate a good kiting strategy for zombies that doesn't involve a third tank/plate, so if you have any ideas... give 'em!
Cael's taking the step I won't, and good for her. She has planned an Ulduar 10-man run for this weekend. She's laid out the ground rules. She's open to accepting PUGs. I've held a lot of respect for players' wishes, and still do, but the time has come for us to do these raids with the people who are ready. Those who wanted us to wait for them, or to not run PUGs in our groups, time's up! You can catch up in later weeks. I for one am jazzed to mix it up in Ulduar with the guild, and hope we get a bunch of guildies in. It's about time!
As for the forums, make sure you check them out. We've gotten some increased traffic over the past week, but it's still mostly the same 10-15 people. Check the Guild Information tab in-game for information on how to get access to the forums. More and more useful info up there all the time, including a quest guide I wrote for Icecrown. Or Cael's new laundry list for what to bring to Ulduar. (Hint -- if you're coming, have a headset with a working microphone!)
Short edition from me today. What's going on with you?
