CBS evening news did a piece on the pro's and con's of health care reform tonight; did you see it? The pro health care side while dealt with a small business trying to obtain health care, the con side highlighted Tenn care. Is Tenn Care really a fair comparison? Why didn't CBS news compare the public option to Medicaid, Medicare, or the Massachusetts plan instead of Tenn care. Tenn Care would be completely different under a federal umbrella with a public option. There would be more people in the pool, and thus the costs would be lower. Also, Tenn Care covers the poorest, and the sickest the very people that private insurance companies don't cover. It seems to me that CBS news has taken a Fox News fair and balanced reporting approach. As long as the stories spins to the right in a whirling dervish then it is fair and balanced. CBS a trusted news source worth of Walter Cronkite? Fair and Balanced? You decide.
