Ok, this is not much of a diary it is more of an open thread to exchange and talk about the Free For All that is M.E. and relations to the U.S.
Notice BTW, I use the word FRYDAY instead of Friday... I do that because most of us are Fried after a long week at work. Some of us are fried because of the posting we do and/or both.
I want to try to do this on Fryday's as a way to get people to talk to about whatever comes into their heads regarding this.. Sort an open forum for people to meet... ask questions.

I don't want this to be a flame forum. Rather something that we can present articles to each other from sources in the U.S. and M.E. and discuss. It does not have to be I/P. I can be about Lebanon, or Iran, or Saudi Arabia or what have you. Also have fun... If you have a great story from the region or what not - let's have it.
So... Here are the articles and salient points, I think could be discussed. Please chime in with some of yours.
I choose these articles:
Israel on Friday filed a complaint with the United Nations after two Katyusha rockets fired from Lebanon hit the western Galilee.
Israel's ambassador to the UN, Gabriela Shalev, sent a letter to Secretary General Ban-Ki moon and to U.S. ambassador to the UN, Susan Rice, saying that Israel is holding the Lebanese government responsible for the rocket attack.
At least two Katyusha rockets struck open fields near Nahariya on Friday.

The United States and five partner countries have decided to accept Iran's new offer to hold talks, even though Iran insists it will not negotiate over its disputed nuclear program, the State Department said Friday.
State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley told reporters that although Iran's proposal for international talks - presented to the six powers on Wednesday - was disappointing for sidestepping the nuclear issue, it represented a chance to begin a direct dialogue.
"We are seeking a meeting now based on the Iranian paper to see what Iran is prepared to do," Crowley said. "And then, as the president has said, you know, if Iran responds to our interest in a meeting, we'll see when that can occur. We hope that will occur as soon as possible."

In the rare moments when it's not preoccupied with the decline of U.S. President Barack Obama in the polls and with the debate over its government's proposed health-care reforms, the American press continues to deal almost obsessively with another pressing issue: the deadlock in efforts to stop Iran's nuclear program and the growing likelihood that the endgame will be an Israeli attack on Iran's nuclear facilities.
In the past few weeks alone, an editorial in The Wall Street Journal warned the president that the United States must put a quick halt to the Iranian nuclear program, because otherwise Israel will bomb the facilities.

Let the discussions begin.
On thing obvious racism towards either Arab or Jewish posters is not welcome - please leave the bullshit at home. If you have nothing to say - don't say it.
