I wonder how Governor Haley Barbour likes the toxic filth from yankee land poisoning the mighty artery running through the heart of his great state?
Wonder what kind of squawk he'll make when Obama attempts to deal with the cause: infrastructure that is crumbling dangerously as this is being typed.
Out of respect for the good Governor, perhaps Obama can make the decimated sewers of St. Louis, which are spewing gallons of stinking, hazardous waste into the Mississippi, the very last of infrastructure priorities.
Kudos to the History Channel. I just happened to catch part of the only program in months to justify my cable dollar.
"The Crumbling of America," is a MUST SEE documentary about the ghastly state of our infrastructure.

History started airing this profound story in June. It was the subject of a diary by Mathew1 at http://www.dailykos.com/...
To emphasize our own hubris of neglecting this problem, Matthew1 includes a link to a national geographic story on the fall of a technologically advanced civilization in the 15th century.
He ends his diary by saying:
The United States of America and technological civilization are crumbling to dust right now. Accept it. Deny it. It really doesn't matter. The outcome remains the same regardless of your hopes, dreams, delusions and objections.
The only thing that I could add is with all manufacturing migrated to China, it looks like America may still have work for every man woman and student for the next few decades.
