From earlier Thursday in Maryland, the crowd at a health care rally cheers wildly as President Obama delivers one of his strongest messages of the entire health care debate in support of the public option:
(If you're reading the tea leaves, note that for the second time this week, President Obama touted the public option without mentioning the possibility of compromise.)
A few minutes earlier, President Obama had mentioned the work being done by Max Baucus...and the crowd had a decidedly different reaction: it booed.
The two different reactions by the crowd tell you pretty much everything you need to know about the politics of where this debate should be headed.
