There is a rumor being mass e-mailed amongst the Rovian lemmings and prominently posted on many conservative websites, which quotes Obama as saying "I only saw Rod Blagojevich one time ... and that was in the stands and from a distance at a Chicago Bears Football Game," followed by numerous photographs of Obama and Blagojevich together. Interspersed between the photographs are comments like "NUFF" SAID BY ME ALREADY, I think you know my thoughts ! The famous saying "the truth will set you free",,,,,well the truth nowdays (sic) won't change anything because the "cancer" is too widespread ! ! !The Presidency...It really is about character... And President Obama is really a character... I'm glad I didn't vote for this socialist liar. Only Saw Him Once..., huh? I just hate being taken for a fool . . . what about you? Does this guy have a problem with the 'Truth, or does he believe that the ordinary American is just Stupid?
Frankly, this is one of the most asinine rumors I've ever heard. You would think that the recipients would first ask themselves if it passes the "smell test" before mindlessly shotgunning it off to their friends, who in turn shotgun it to their friends. Blagojevich was the Governor of Illinois while Obama was a state Senator, then a U.S. Senator. Their paths crossed many times. Obama endorsed Blagojevich in 2002 and 2006, and was an adviser to him in his first 2002 run for the state house. Then he began distancing himself from Blagojevich to the point where they had not spoken to one another in the year before the Blogojevich scandal erupted.

The point is not that they have never been together; they have - - many, many times - - the point is that Obama never said he had only seen him once. That's just crazy.
How gullible can people be? If Obama ever said "I only saw Rod Blagojevich one time ... and that was in the stands and from a distance at a Chicago Bears Football Game," (assuming this quote was not taken out of context, which is admittedly a huge assumption) the media would have pounced on it right away. Duh.
