Dear Bloggers,
I am normally a quiet and private person, but when my Johnny is being attacked so openly and unfairly I feel that I must speak up.
Although I don't usually "blog," friends of mine informed me of this website where you Cowsacks, or whatever you call yourselves, have been making fun of my son.
I can understand your disagreements on his politics; this is a democratic (little D) country and you have your freedom of expression. But what I can't understand is your basis of attack: the color of his skin.
Democrats, of all people, should be sensitive to bigotries based upon the color of one's skin. And let me say this to set the record straight and clear the air: My son John does not go to tanning salons every day, no, in fact HE WAS BORN ORANGE!
Now, aren't you all ashamed? Making fun of someone because of a congenital affliction!?
I remember so vividly those many decades back when in the delivery room with Johnny, and the doctor yelling out: "Holy shit, you're giving birth to a basketball!"
But we learned to love our little orange Johnny. Sure, the kids at school made fun of him, calling him such nasty names as "Pumpkin Head" and "Creamsicle Face." But we knew that little Johnny, with his amber glow, would grow up to make us proud some day.
So you bloggers should hang your heads in shame! A disgrace to this country! I live to see the day when an orange man can achieve all that the other races have achieved without facing the bigotry of others!
