For Sister Ima (My kindergarten teacher). You taught me well.
Even if you made me stand in the corner for an hour because I was so stubborn.
You put the dunce cap on the other girl's head.
And for Sister Mary Michael Williams (my first grade teacher).
You were so kind I never forgot you!

Pass Plan
PASS (Plan for Achieving Self-Support) Plans
Don't fall for that Employment Network who wants $400.00 to do your pass plan application. It's a simple application, won't take more than a couple of hours to do. Pace yourself, do a little whenever you have time and soon it will be completed. Don't try to do it all at one time.
You can fill it out by hand. Print, in black or dark blue ink, neatly. Will be fine. You can use some additional sheets of paper if necessary.
I was told by my person who handles my case that "they want people to be approved and succeed so they will work with the client in order to get their plan approved".
In other words, if you fill out the application completely and correctly and there are any issues they need to work out. They will ask you more questions and you can reply from there.
You all come to a conclusion about what you get together. You don't need any fancy agency to fill out the form on a computer, or know just what to do or say.
Just fill it out as best you can, the Pass Program will contact you if it needs to be amended. Don't pay Four Hundred Dollars out of your SSI check, even if they say oh, it's just small monthly installments.
Never pay for services. Anyone who wants money is in business. You don't need to buy this service. Real easy to do yourself, or with a friend's help. You could type it up if you know how. Still easy. I did mine myself, and I sure didn't know much about what I was doing. I just answered the questions to the best of my ability.
Ticket To Work
The Ticket to Work and Self-Sufficiency Program is an employment program for people with disabilities who are interested in going to work.
One Employment Network AA Take Charge
will let you keep 75 percent of your SSI.
Another called NTI National Telecommunications Institute
will train you on line to be an online customer service operator. Or to do data entry.
I was told by Maximus, the agency that oversees the ticket program to go with the Employment Network that offers me the most. Take the best deal, they said shop around with your ticket.
All three of these programs can be worked simultaneously. I am.
So as I wind down my weekend long celebration party for President Obama, Nobel Peace Prize Winner.
I'm still thinking of how hard it is for a lot of people out there. And I know it took me three years to find and get on the three government programs I just posted. They're all free, no gimmicks with me. Check them out. They're really good!
I'm resting today. I only have one new jukebox.
So come on over and spend the day we're serving Spaghetti and Beer.
Spaghetti and Beer Party.
