So I was browsing through redstate and thinking I could easily enter into conversation with the locals there. I read a number of articles and found one that was trying to use facts to make a claim.
Fair enough.
But I thought the logic was a bit skewed and wanted to comment. Okay, let's create an account by registering with a real email address, get the confirmation link and then proceed. Whoa...
Not so fast. Evidently there's a protocol that even though you've identified yourself and confirmed the registration, you're still not approved to speak your mind. To whit:
>>Error: You have not been registered long enough to comment.
Huh?
So I'll wait. Because I really want to reach out to conservatives and get into the inner workings of what makes them tick.
It's not a challenge to a fight, but rather a real desire to engage people other than the choir here at DK. We can all cheer each other on but unless we get out to dialogue with legitimate conservatives and understand them (and they understand us), we as a people will be divided. And that, precisely, is what allows the 1%, the oligarchy, to maintain power.
Well, we've got the tubes now. This is different than a decade ago. Our gov't reps can't hide anymore and it's getting harder for the corporations. Maybe we should call them all govcorp. I challenge my fellow kossacks to take the first step and engage with the other side. Go to listen to them and really hear what they have to say. Be strong enough to endure the flames. Understand them without ridicule.
Only when they know that you are listening will they in turn be willing to do the same.
