I've created a blog that consists of a science fiction novella I wrote for Analog Science Fiction a few years back.
It's a little bit out of date, but it's entirely up-to-date at the same time, if you know what I mean. The premise is pretty simple. Two parts. The conservatives take over the country for 40 years ... and the ice caps melt -- quickly.

I've been writing science fiction for years and appearing in the pages of Analog.
The idea for this story came from an article in the New York Times, back when they had a Science section every Tuesday. The article said scientists were warning that if the Western Antarctic Ice Sheet were to melt, it would raise sea level by 150 feet. In my story, it happens in less than 15 years -- the fastest I could make it happen, given the science on surging glaciers. In reality, it would more likely take 100 times longer. If we're lucky.
