I have noticed locally that a number of places I go have Fox News in the waiting or dining area. We must take every opportunity to complain about these intrusions into our right not to listen to garbage. I believe the right to not have to listen is implied by the First Amendment of the Constitution.
One success I had complaining about Faux News was at the deli of a local chain supermarket. I emailed them and told them I was offended by Fox News and this was not good business. I suggested the Weather Channel or ESPN. lo and behold, the times I have gone to that deli, CNN has been the channel on television.
Currently, I am trying to figure out the best way to get Fox News off the waiting room televisions at the Veteran's Administration Clinic in Lubbock, Texas where I live. Appealing to my Republican Dork Senators and Reps is a waste of time. Not sure how to proceed. Suggestions are welcome....

Update:
Thanks for the helpful replies. I tried the local patient advocate and got the run around. Now I will try official channels. They are supposed to reply to me in five days, My position is no cable news network should be shown on VA waiting room televisions.
Update:
Got a reply from the Veterans' Administration. It was a simple "THANK YOU"
Not sure whether this is success or what, but at least I got a reply.
