What an idiot.

What a buffoon.

What a blowhard.

And now he thinks he's even a 'medium'.

We simply can't make shit up better than this.  So this humor/satirical blog puts up this story about how that mysterious Obama Thesis has turned up and supposedly 10.whole.pages are leaked...and this is where it begins.

Obama College Thesis: 'Constitution is Inherently Flawed'

Obama Thesis Raises Doubts
Brian Lancaster

President Barack Obama's college record has officially been under strict secrecy since his run for the White House began in 2007. This record includes two years at Occidental College in Los Angeles, two years at Columbia University, and finally at Harvard Law School.

Then they attribute the 'leaking' to Joe Klein from Time:

With all of the secrecy regarding the President's academic record, famed Time reporter Joe Klein looked into the records for an upcoming special edition about the President. Klein included several key points in the piece, including his grades and stellar letters of recommendation. However, what has leaked along with this information was the subject of a thesis written by the young Obama while still an undergraduate at Columbia.

They've named the thesis, Aristocracy Reborn and even quote him from the thesis.

Entitled Aristocracy Reborn, this paper chronicled the long struggle of the working class against, as Obama put it, "plutocratic thugs with one hand on the money and the other on the government."

The thesis goes on to rail against the current economic system and then Obama, the Constitutional Scholar, attacks the Constitution.  Of course this stuff is oxycontin for the addict, Limbaugh, and he decides to run with it, add to it, and even read Obama's mind after he finds out he's been punk'd.

RUSH: Michael Ledeen has posted something today that dovetails with this.  This has surfaced just today. "Obama and the Constitution: He Has His Doubts."

Michael Ledeen: "I missed this first time around.  Brian Lancaster at Jumping in Pools reported on Obama's college thesis, written when he was at Columbia.  The paper was called 'Aristocracy Reborn,' and in the first ten pages (which were all that reporter Joe Klein -- who wrote about it for Time -- was permitted to see), the young Obama wrote: '[T]he Constitution allows for many things, but what it does not allow is the most revealing. The so-called Founders did not allow for economic freedom. While political freedom is supposedly a cornerstone of the document, the distribution of wealth is not even mentioned.

RUSH: So Joe Klein at TIME Magazine has known for a long time about Obama's college thesis when he was at Columbia.  Why didn't this come out a year ago at this time?  Why didn't this come out before the election in November?  If you're just joining us, here is what Barack Obama wrote in his college thesis at Columbia University:  "... the Constitution allows for many things, but what it does not allow is the most revealing. The so-called Founders did not allow for economic freedom. While political freedom is supposedly a cornerstone of the document, the distribution of wealth is not even mentioned. While many believed that the new Constitution gave them liberty, it instead fitted them with the shackles of hypocrisy."

But, but, Rush is pretty upset that this information was held by Joe Klein and not released before the election.  We've been had, you know, by a wolf in sheep's clothing.  Guess who's been had, Rush?  You, you moron.

How does Joe Klein feel about this?

A report is circulating among the wingnuts that I had a peek at Barack Obama's senior thesis. It is completely false. I've never seen Obama's thesis. I have no idea where this report comes from--but I can assure you that it's complete nonsense.

Update: Michael Ledeen now has apologized to me on his blog, claiming that he, Limbaugh and others were punked by a satire. I appreciate the apology...but I wonder about what the willingness to take this cheesy crap as gospel says about Ledeen's--and Boss Rush's--sensibility. Actually, on second thought, I don't wonder all that much.

And when Rush finds out during his program that he's been punk'd, what does he do?  Through some divine gift of knowing what Obama is thinking even though the thesis is a hoax, he gleans that these thoughts very well could have come from Obama's head anyway.

RUSH: I'm also told that the blog containing the passage on Obama's thesis is a satire blog. So it's one of these sites like ScrappleFace or The Onion or some such thing. So I shout from the mountaintops: "It was satire!"  But we know he thinks it.  Good comedy, to be comedy, must contain an element of truth, and we know how he feels about distribution of wealth.  He's mad at the courts for not going far enough on it. So we stand by the fabricated quote because we know Obama thinks it anyway.  That's how it works in the media today.

And this is how his station's site alerts you to the hoax after Limbaugh basically says the hoax is true because he's a soothsayer.

Obama's Disdain for Constitution: We Know He Thinks It, Don't We?
When we discover a hoax, we correct it immediately.

Yeah, Rush, that was quite a correction.

I swear to the Gods...these morons will believe anything, without doing one iota of research to find out the, uh, facts if it backs up their hideous hatred of Democrats and especially Obama.

Well, Rush, you've been royally punk'd and as far as I'm concerned all your listeners are punk'd on a daily basis and I'm glad your ignorance has been exposed.  AGAIN.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
