I need some help for the mainstream media here – Photographic and video clips showing President Obama participating in games with women.
In case you have not heard the latest controversy here goes:
The "very important" issue of national security that seems to be preoccupying the pundits is "Does President Obama get on well with women since he does not play basket ball with them?" or put differently by some "Is the President encouraging a ‘all-boys club’ in his administration because he does not include women in his recreation activities"
I am sure that this is an issue of great national importance particularly when gender bias is trying to be painted on a President who:
o publicly and repeatedly demonstrates his deep love and respect for his wife and daughters;
o practically lives with ALL women;
o was raised mainly by strong women;
o has given some of strongest cabinet assignments to women,
o nominated his ONLY Supreme court appointment to a woman; and
o whose first bill signed was the Lily Ledbetter Bill for Equal Pay for Women;
o and just this Friday PROUDLY wore his "Pink Tie" in support of Women’s Breast Cancer Month for a full day’s events that made him travel across three states!!
For the record, I am an unapologetic feminist liberal and would be the first person to get a pitchfork if I detected gender bias but pleaseeee...... the evidence is there in the public domain for this not to be an issue.
I have seen photos and video clips of President Obama playing different games with women both here and abroad. In fact the White House collection of photos and videos shows President Obama playing hoops with the Women’s Champion Basket Ball team at the White House and some women playing with him at Camp David. Video’s and photos also exist of then-candidate-Obama playing mixed games.
Here is my request : Anyone out there who is able to do so, could you please provide photos and videos of such evidence before this becomes the standard argument for the lazy media
Here are some examples of members of the media raising this bias:
I first saw this issue being raised by MSNBC’s Savannah Guthrie on Morning Joe on October 22nd/2009
Today,
CNN is carrying a segment on "Why President Obama’s game today with his Domestic Policy Advisor is very significant?"
From Politico
If it’s Sunday, expect to find Obama golfing at Fort Belvoir. This week, though, his foursome includes Melody Barnes, President Obama’s chief domestic policy advisor -- and the first woman who’s played golf with Obama during his 24 trips to the links since taking office.

WASHINGTON — Does the White House feel like a frat house?
The suspicion flared in recent weeks — and not for the first time — after President Obama was criticized by women’s advocates and liberal bloggers for hosting a high-level basketball game with no female players.
