Our fellow Kossack, Kitsap River, has been patiently waiting for a kidney for sometime for her own are not working. A quilt bearing messages of support for her from this community has been commissioned and has been funded. The first message diary for her quilt is here if you would like to see the sort of messages she has been getting. She’s indeed been getting beautiful messages – but we need more.
In order to do the design I want to do for her, I need 68 or 72 messages, total. So far, I have 34 (and am holding a spot for Stranded Wind’s message, to boot.) We are halfway there! If you would like to include a supportive message for Kitsap River, please leave it in a comment below.
Progress report on other commissioned quilts:
Michelle Caudle’s quilt top was finished last night. We’re layering and tying it today. I expect it to be ready for mailing on Wednesday. Here is a picture of the top – all the prints are of flowers except for the corner blocks. Those are the same feather print that was used to back moe99’s quilt.
I have finished inscribing all 96 of BFSkinner’s messages and begin to heat set them and to arrange them for sewing this evening. Other fabrics will include pooties. Lots of pooties. And other fun and beautiful stuff, as well.
