Today, the Kansas City Chiefs of the NFL released RB Larry Johnson.
Why is that important? Allow me to explain.
A couple of weeks ago, after a terrible game, Larry Johnson on his twitter page (which has officially been scrubbed) called out his coach. He referred to his new coach as a "man that had never even played the game (of football)" and also "What has he done? Nothing..." (these may be paraphrases, but they are close enough).
A subscriber to his twitter sight then replied to the effect of "What exactly have you done this year?".
Up until this point, you're saying "Yeah, so what?"...and I don't blame ya, "nothing to see here folks".
Its in Johnson's next reply, where the controversy (and idiocy) begins. In a moment of showing his true colors, Johnson replied with basically, "Screw you, f*g"
But it didn't end there.
In the locker room the next day, when asked by reporters about his twitter page, Johnson then again replied with the same three words.
Johnson at that time was suspended, initially for two weeks w/o pay, and then after negotiations for 2 weeks, but only which 1 week was unpaid.
Today, the Chiefs released RB Larry Johnson to which I give a resounding "Hell Yeah!!".
Thank you Kansas City Chiefs and thank you NFL for not allowing these hatefilled bigots to act like children, without consequences!
PS-He also loses $2.285M in the process (if my math is correct)
