The day grows closer to te end. Oh no, I mean the end of 2005. Sorry, you can put the rosary beads, and bibles away. Or can you?
As we near the end of the administrations rein, those of us that see through the charade worry that the powers that be will try to remove more of our rights. As we all know, the attack has been on our right to privacy in recent months. The administration says it's in the name of safety, in "war on terror". There is a pattern developing, if you watch what they are trying to pull.
First they, [the administration] are pushing for those sections of the Patriot Act that have the most potential of taking away the civil liberties of the citizenry of the United States. They also are using the Patriot Act to try and defend the (P)Residents use of the NSA to spy on people of the USA. As I have shown you in past diaries, the Patriot Act, and laws that are woven into it, plus the laws that have been passed since, chip away at the Judicial Branch and their decision making on things having to do with the Executive Branch's power to remove rights in the name of fighting terror.
The one section of the Patriot Act that is not up for review, and should be is Title I, Sec.106: Presidential Authority. This is one of the angles that the administration is trying to use to show that Bush had the power to Spy Domestically on the people. If they finally use this Section, they will have to admit that the country is being run under the "Emergency Powers Act."
I have said that this is a document that needs to be read by every citizen of the US. And yes I under stand that the
Patriot Act I, is 342 pages of dry legal reading, but understanding what they can, and will do, is vital in the fight to maintain the rights afforded to us under the
Constitution.
For those of you that like the Reader's Digest format,
Patriot Act Review This is one of the better explanations of the sections that I have found.

A Quick Thought on The New Prescription Plan
We should thank the Leader and Chimp, for the new pharmaceutical plan. This plan will ensure that the cost to the government will be cut. "Why ABA, how did he do that", you may ask. Well the plan is so confusing that most people, [by no fault of their own] will find themselves cut of from the program, or paying high penalties.
80% of those who need the program are Alzheimer patients, mentally handicapped, or just what is called dual recipients. The other 20% are just plain confused about how it all works.
What this all boils down to is the fact that they, sent out the booklets in November, and gave the people less than two months to try and get the help that is needed to find the plan that is best for thier individual needs. One of the major things that I have noticed is that the insurance companies can punish you, by hitting you in the pocket. The plan lets the companies up prices because the recipient, didn't make the choice by the deadline.
So what this is, is a plan that even though he may have not planed it, may cut the governments cost by causing the needy to be dropped. They need to put a hold on this, and when they think that they have it made easy enough that the elderly will have no problems with it, give it to Bush and tell him if he can figure it out then, the rest of the people won't have any problem.
