Glenn Beck has come up with a 100 year Plan to restore America. He's going to unveil it in the coming year. During a rally in Florida he declared:
http://thinkprogress.org/...
On August 28, 2010, I ask you, your family and neighbors to join me at the feet of Abraham Lincoln on the National Mall for the unveiling of The Plan and the birthday of a new national movement to restore our great country.
That is the day that Martin Luther King Jr. gave the "I Have A Dream" Speech at the Lincoln Memorial in 1963.
This Fox News sponsored event can't happen.
While I'm almost against censorship, I can't imagine anything worse than Beck using one of the most inspirational moments and places in American history to shill his latest book. It can't be allowed.
Do we allow people to show up at the World Trade Center on 9/11 to promote low cost air travel between Boston and Los Angeles?
I hope that there are enough civil rights groups that will petition the Park Service for some sort of activities dedicated to MLK and his speech.
I demand that Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton snag this property for a real ceremony instead another Glenn Beck ego-fest. If these two men truly care about the legacy of MLK, they better makes sure there is a proper tribute to King's dream instead of Glenn Beck's vision of the next 100 years of taking back America from these progressives.
Jackson and Sharpton need to quit being cooperative with Fox News until Beck is told to rethink his date and location for this rally. If they do appear on Fox News, they need to constantly bring up this date and how offensive such Beck's Master Plan at the Lincoln Memorial is.
Glenn Beck must understand that there are certain days and places that aren't his.
