In the past, PETA has made controversial ads that TV networks have refused to run because they were too racy or too shocking. (I'm sure PETA never even intended to see their Pam-Anderson-as-porn-queen-security-guard ad on TV.) So this time they made an ad that just uses facts and a cute child. That's it. No sex. No blood. No strong language.
What's the verdict?
They attempted to buy air time during NBC's airing of the Thanksgiving Day Parade, and NBC refused to take their money, declaring the ad unsuitable.
I think we can all agree this ad is more enjoyable to watch than the parade. It's obvious NBC simply does not want to publicize facts that their corporate sponsors prefer to keep hidden.
